I was injured January 2009 and was put on Norco and was only taking like 1 or 2 a day at the beging. I have had surgery's and they are wanting to do more. I am now taking roughly around 10-15 Norco per day. And I run out and have to get them off the streets. I have set in my dr office and broken down and cried on several occasions begging for detox and help. The last time she gave me 90 Norco asked me to wein myself off, I have already went through half of them in four or five days... I am unable to do this and I have no idea how I can get it through them I can't self wein after three years of daily doses ranging from 8-15 pills a day and sometimes 20. I have lost my wife and family over taking these medicines and it's ruined my life and I don't know what else to do I m begging for help and not being given the help I need. I am starting to settle my case just so I can pay out of my pocket for detox. My dr said it would take a few months to get the authorization for detox program or use of suboxone to help me wein off fast. There is something wrong with te system when dr don't need approval to pump you full of narcotics but it takes months to approve something that helps you stop abusing the pain meds you never took without being hurt on the job. I have tried on my own laying in bed for days on end but I can't do it.. If anybody can give me some advice I would really appreciate it and Juan isn't my real name I am protecting my real identity because I do not want to incriminate myself in mu custody case or my Workcomp case.
